COMMON MAYTAG FAULTS
Ice Maker Module
The motorized brain of the ice maker. When the gears strip or the internal thermostat fails, it stops cycling and dropping ice entirely.
Water Inlet Valve
Controls water flow to the mold. When it fails electrically, you get no ice; when it fails mechanically, you get leaks and giant ice blocks.
Optics Control Boards
Many Maytag models use infrared beams to check ice levels. If these receiver/emitter boards go bad, the ice maker falsely thinks the bin is full.
Frozen Fill Tube
Low water pressure or a slow-leaking valve can cause water to freeze in the tube before reaching the ice mold. We safely thaw and fix the root cause.
Auger Motor / Dispenser
